M&A Activity Breakdown In Media & Tech
This is actually pretty old news from the beginning of the year (2011) but I just came across it and found it interesting enough to post. The biggest category of M&A went to database and information services. This should come as no surprise with the big data movement and the increasing demand for data storage with more and more of people’s lives getting filed away in the cloud....

I Just Got Sonned
I just got sonned by my coworkers who asked what rock I was under after I admitted that I’d just heard about Foster The People. Whatever. I can’t know all the world’s information. Anyway, enjoy.
Mark Zuckerberg on Google+
I just saw this image over on Jason Calacanis’ blog where he writes “he doesn’t look happy (or worried).” I’d agree he doesn’t exhibit either of those emotions. He looks like he’s trying to kill Google simply with an intense death stare!

The video below is a great example of ‘advertainment.’ This was first shared with me by my colleague @mofdesign and I found it so awesome that I’m going to share it with the...
Return of the Animated GIF
My buddy @mofdesign who is much more in tune with the trends of the creative world told me recently that the gif has been experiencing something of a resurgence. Yup, that 90’s internet visual that brings to mind all that was part of web 1.0. So I searched around a little bit and found this blog post detailing more of the history and context of the animated gif:
I’m huge fan of retro...

ATL’s Go Dreamer from Hollyweerd gets his pirate on after getting inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean. Johnny Depp and his swash buckling ways are influencing pop culture in a big way right now.
